It’s known for its deadly gaze or breath, which could supposedly turn people to stone or cause death. Often confused with the basilisk, another mythical beast, the Cockatrice is a symbol of fearsome power in many medieval tales. It is often used in fantasy settings like wargames and literature for its intimidating and magical attributes.

Cockatrices when young can be vicious and should never be engaged in an enraged state.
