Hi Guys!
Diehard Miniatures has a world and story which, over this year I will be releasing more background on. Both Sci-Fi and Fantasy inhabit this world with only a thin veil keeping them apart….
Scifi Law Enforcement.
The world of Luskia 5120 is a backwater planet on the outer rim of known space. Having very little to offer after the initial prospecting turned up nothing of note 5120 became a haven for smugglers and those hiding from the law.
Planetside the local law enforcers mainly marshals and a handful of colonial troops cover most of the day to day business in and around the main cities and large towns. Saying law enforcement is stretched thin on this planet would be an understatement but they do the best they can with what they have. When they have to they hire Merc units for larger jobs or post bounties for when the job dictates a special kind of ‘law’ agent.
Only the bounty hunters venture into the outer reaches and no go zones hunting down those that bring in the best pay. It’s dirty and hard work but a rewarding way to make a living for the hardened few licensed to bring in the scum and villainy.
Many Mercs and Bounty Hunters originated from the ranks of the Marshals, having either retired or having been bribed to leave and join services with other less law-abiding agencies.
Mercs will form up into units and small armies for hire at the right price but the Bounty Hunter works mainly alone, bounty’s dictate meagre rewards for more than a two-man team.
One operative, however, has risen to the top of the rankings, Lillith runs a small Bounty Hunter unit. Having been an off-world gang Lillith brought her crew to 5120 on a big job which went south, and they now find themselves stranded here until they have enough funds to buy their way off this rock.
Conrad has been with her from the very start and is her trusty right-hand man, Drax the heavy weapons guy puts his alien strength to good use blasting his way through trouble more than once to save their skins. Bodhi and Doyle are the new recruits, they joined together after proving their metal in a firefight which they saved Lillith’s life.
Hope you enjoyed our chat on the world of Diehard, I’ll be writing more updates once I get the chance and try to flesh out more background for you :).
In the meantime take a look at the full range of Miniatures, and get in touch if you have any questions.
